The Magdalene Players are an amateur drama group based in Wandsworth, South London. Since 1980, we have been entertaining audiences at St Mary Magdalene Church Hall, Trinity Road, Wandsworth Common, SW17 7HP.

Pantomimes are a firm favourite, but our performances offer much more besides! Over the years, we have taken to the stage in a wide variety of productions, including drama, comedy and musicals. We are proud of what we have achieved and have enjoyed many memorable highlights along the way.

Join the Fun!

We are always on the lookout for new members and would love to welcome you to the group. Whether you fancy treading the boards as a performer or prefer to work behind the scenes, there is a place for you in the Magdalene Players.

You could get involved in set building, painting, props or any of the many other jobs that help bring a production to life.

No experience is necessary — just enthusiasm, a willingness to get involved and a desire to have fun while creating something worthwhile together!

We rehearse on Monday and Thursday evenings at 8pm, with additional rehearsals as performance dates approach.

More Than Just Theatre

Being a Magdalene Player is about much more than putting on shows. We enjoy a lively social side, too, with social gatherings, trips to the theatre, Christmas carol singing, murder mysteries and improvisation sessions.

We have also enjoyed sharing our songs with residents at local care homes and raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Whether you want to perform, learn new skills, make friends or simply try something different, the Magdalene Players could be just what you are looking for.

Come and join us — we would love to hear from you!
