Once Upon a Seam is set in Madame Hemingway’s Magnificent Costume Emporium, the finest costume shop in all the land. Every costume in the shop contains a little spark of the character it represents, thanks to a magical needle said to have been gifted to Madame Hemingway by a Fairy Godmother. In the night, the shop changes: rails become forests, shelves become ships, mannequins become royalty, and the costumes’ characters step out of their stories.
On Bob Bins’ first night as apprentice, the magical needle disappears. Without it, the stories begin to fray. Characters forget who they are, villains wander into the wrong tales, heroes lose their endings, and the shop risks collapsing into complete pantomime chaos. Bob must find the needle, restore the stories, and prove he is more than just a clumsy apprentice.
